Nivaala (निवाला)
"Transforming Hunger into Hope"
Founded on July 14, 2019
Nivaala is a cornerstone of the Rotaract Club of Ahmedabad Midtown, focused on the Community Service Avenue. For over five years, we have dedicated ourselves to combating hunger by distributing nourishing meals to over 80 people every Sunday, supported by LJ Institute's Department of Happiness.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we expanded our efforts significantly — providing essential sustenance and support to those most in need. Our commitment to "Service Above Self" drives us to collect surplus food from city events, ensuring sustainability in our mission.
Each meal we serve not only fills stomachs but fosters community resilience and compassion. With 2–3 hours of volunteer work each week, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the underprivileged — guided by our belief in the transformative power of food.
